My wife and I recently watched the AFI's 100 greatest movies show and we decided to go through each one by one and watch the ones we haven't seen. Citizen Kane is the #1 again and I don't particularly care for it. My favorite of all time is a comedy classic Young Frankenstein. It didn't make the list. It made the comedy list though. Anyway what is your #1 and why?

I have a few number ones..

"Harvey" and "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington"
Why? Jimmy Stewart that's why. I love watching him act. He's like the "everyman".

"Random Harvest" starring Ronald Coleman and Greer Garson.
Romantic, Sad, Funny, Dramatic..everything all boiled into one great movie.

and .. "TheThin Man" "Love Crazy" and "I'll Love you Again" All 3 starring Myrna Loy and William Powell.
Funny! and Great acting!!

Oh..and if the Young Frankenstein your talking about is the one with Gene Wilder??..Great choice..! It's pretty funny!

Casablanca is still my #1. It has the best script ever written and has so many quotes. The story is great and suspenseful. The acting is superb. It also has my 2 favorites, Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, so I am a bit biased in the respect. I also like Young Frankenstein, but it is not even in my top 10.

My favorite would be Shawshank Redemption. You can't get much better than that movie in my opinion. The Godfather l and ll would be right up there, too.

To Purpleiris-Susan Hayward did not star in Madam X, that role was played by Lana Turner. And yes, she did tear my heart out in that.

Classic movie, Madame X, starring Susan Hayward. Although the movie has been redone many times, Susan Hayward will tear your heart out at the end of the movie!

From the older list, Gone With The Wind.

Of all time, and didn't make the list? The Exorcist.

The Godfather (series), for its excellent but sadly tragic storyline, and for being the first movie to give the bad guys a solid depth
