I have two flat pnl. monitors,, now I just bought a splitter since my pc has only one monitor slot,, So Yes they just mirror each other,, LAME,, I want to be able to do two different things ,, like watch a movie ,, and surf the web,,I 'm sure this will require ,, a program (and -or) a new graphics card with two outs,, well any cheats ,, or hints would help.. thanks again

I knew what the splitter would do! I did it just because I had a second monitor on hand,, NOW I want to do it the right way , and am asking for Help to do so,, ease up on a fellow , sorry I'm not a wiz in all areas!

What did you expect the splitter to do?

If it is a splitter cable you are messing up the signals too. the video card and monitor are impedance matched to the signal cable, except you just put two in parallel halving the impedance and now your video card is trying to drive twice the current it should.


Get a dual head video card. There are cheap ones out there.

you require a second graphics card in sli mode (or xfire for ati cards) for it to output two different graphical displays
