Fre@k honey, love doesn't always follow regular gender boundaries. Your sister is in love. She just happens to be in love with another woman. People who are in love want to be together.
Do your girls get to see them? Do they see how happy they are? Just tell your girls that their aunt is merely a different flavor of human. Nothing more, nothing less, not in any way bad, just different.

My own kids were 6 and 8 when I divorced and had a woman as a partner. I told them that two women, two men or a man and a women can fall in love with each other and spend their lives together as spouses. That some people are prejudice against 2 women and 2 men doing this but there is nothing ever wrong in 2 people loving each other. If they ask specific question about sex, I would limit your answers to something generic, like "there are lots of way 2 people can make love and make each other feel loved." , if they press for more, I would hesitate giving them much more at this age. Listen to their questions, you may think they are asking more than the question really asks at first. You might ask your sister if she would mind helping you and answering some of their questions.

Not much. At young ages, children aren't looking for biology, just to make sense of what they understand about the world. Answer: ''There are lots of different ways to make a family. Sometimes, a person was married before to someone of the opposite sex and they already have a child. Or maybe they will adopt

Tell them the truth, because they want to start a life of happiness together, and this makes them happy. Leave it at that, too many questions, tell them to ask your sister.

You should tell your kids the truth. She's your sister and you don't want your kids to grow up to be close minded.

Listen to Patroclus. And listen to your kids questions. Figure out what they are really asking - you may have to ask them that - and tell them the truth.

Remember, kids only have the hang-ups that grown-ups teach them.
