ok ALOT of African Americans use the slavery thing and say everyone is predujice against them. If they get arrested, all of the sudden it's just because he's African American and we hate him. They always pull that card and I am tired of it!!!! I have nothing against African Americans or any other race for that matter, but they act like everyone does. They think that everyone should give them the world because we forced them to be slaves for us, but WE didn't our ancestors did and it was awful and i'm against it, but now alot of them have turned the tables and hate white people because of what WE did, but WE didn't do it, the people before us did. I don't treat them like dirt and yet that is how alot of them treat me. I am not saying that everyone one who is Black does this, but it just seems like alot of them do. They give me dirty looks and curse at me and i'm sick of it. I stick up for people getting made fun of for race or anything else and think it is horrible and yet there is...

... still so much hatred towards me and others. And also everyone thinks that the Civil War was about slavery, but it wasn't, it was about Taxation Without Representation, The Emancipation Proclamation was something that happened as a result, but the south was fighting because they were victims of Taxation Without Representation. Slavery was wrong, but what did I do?

What do you think????

no, because the slave owners and slaves are no longer alive today...it was sad but it thank God it is over...they are already paying the price, God is a God of justice...them and them alone should have to pay, not their great great grand children...

There isn't anything to pay for. Being a victim is ingrained in the culture of the black race in the USA. As a result, a lot of innocent whites are victimized in the process.

That being said, there isn't much you can do about it except to avoid encouraging that behavior in blacks.

Do not apologize. Do not acknowledge.

The black who fails and blames the white is ignoring his responsibility. Not defining yours.

Ignorance of the power in letting go and living in the here and now defines the lives of blacks in the USA.

Ironically, something that is probably not known to the majority of blacks is that the largest sellers of Africans to slave traders were themselves Africans.

Don't mistake my candor for lack of feeling. Slavery and discrimination are a black eye on the human race, not just the white race.

Um...
okay I'm mixed(b/w), living in an african-american community and I've not once ever heard or read anyone say anything like that. I've seen people ask about it, but never seen it happen.

"I am not saying that everyone one who is Black does this, but it just seems like alot of them do" - WHERE?!?!

And i'm sick of white racist scum like you. You're sick of "Black racism", read Yahoo Answers, moron. It's your white racist pals that are the problem. There are more whites complaining about Black people supposedly complaing about slavery than there is Black people actually talking about it. We almost NEVER talk about wanting reparations. It's you whites that keep talking about this. You whites are the ones that are always complaining about losing your jobs and everyone being racist against you. It's one white racist after another on here. And it's always about Black people. Your race is even more disgusting than i thought it was, and that's saying alot! To this racist piece of trash lorenzo, so "being a victim" is ingrained in Black people yet one white are another complains about losing their jobs to "unqualified" Black people, so that's okay but when Black people complain about racism we're "playing a victim". So that's how it works to you huh? Garbage like you are the reason that racism exists in the first place. How kind of you for saying slavery was bad. Thank you master lorenzo. Now take that stupid hat and shove it up your a--.

I am not saying that I don't like questions like this, but it just seems like a lot of people ask this question too much. They ask this question like it hasn't been asked 8 million times before and I'm sick of it
