Some people appreciate correct spelling because they believe that language is too important too deface. Of course, others believe that education is unimportant and that they should just go ahead and be rude and ignorant. You are one of the latter, as your question and the grammarical errors therein prove.

This is a message board, not a chatroom.

Too many misspellings and grammatical errors make you look unintelligent, and it's usually not worth some people's time to read it. If you're in a hurry, then you'll want to type properly so people can understand what you're asking and respond quickly--It takes longer for us to decipher your question if your typing is a mess. That's why some people don't even bother. And so you lose some potential insight to your question, all because you didn't have five seconds to check your spelling.

It's quite simple: the way you write and present your thoughts and ideas to the world shows us your understanding and mastery level of language and your ability or inability to communicate effectively.

When people are plodding through constant grammatical and mechanical errors, they will form a negative opinion of your level of education. People will argue that it's wrong to make judgments; however, people do it all of the time. It doesn't make it right, just a part of life.

If you do not like people making disparaging comments about your atrocious grammar and spelling errors, work to improve your grammar and usage. The laziness of text messaging, as well as instant messaging, are only exacerbating the problem, regardless of what you might think.

One way or another, people will comment on how you write and speak. It's part of life.

I leave you with the primary indicator of your laziness and "blame everyone but me. It's not my fault" attitude:

"if you cant read it just stop and go away.. for some people it just waists time to spell and spell check and stuff."

Talk about lazy.

'spacegeek' - Pardon me for a moment, 'Flava...' - I hope that the two misspelled words in your answer are due to going too fasst(on purpose) and having one 'o' too many and an 'r' instead of a 't' - check it out. Obviously, the 't' on the keyboard is right beside the 'r'. I trust that I'm correct.

I don't mean to embarrass you, but be a little more careful in the future. I think Flava has the wrong temperament in his Q, but you've got to be 'spot on', or you're sunk !!

'Flava...' - You're gonna spell the way you do at any rate, just leave it at that and don't 'rant' about being scolded for not only not caring, but b****ing about it too !!

Best - Mark B.

P.S. I almost left out the 'a' in temperament !! LOL

I believe you mean wastes. :) An interesting question. Spelling is important. If you don't think it means anything in the world, think again. Being in a hurry? That is procratination. Procrastination should be prevented. So try not to be in a hurry. :)
Also, improper spelling, can make people think that you are lazy and no one will pay atention to lazy people.
Edit:
I agree with jsoos. "This is a message board, not a chat room"

English spelling was only standardized in the early 19th century, but even so......The problem with poor spelling, is that it sometimes confuses meaning.... and the whole reason for writing in the first place is to say what you mean.... not what someone may guess you mean. The real problem is that it makes you look like an idiot, especially in the age of automatic spell checkers. It prejudices the reader to judge your work on its' format rather than its' content.

I'm not going to criticize another person's spelling or grammer. I understand your argument, and on-line is a more casual forum than say, if you were writing a school paper.

But I'm a spelling and grammer weenie when it comes to what I write or post (except for IM). My first undergraduate degree was in journalism. If you misspelled a word, it was an automatic 10 points off your grade. If you mispelled a name, that was a fact error and an automatic F. But just because I'm anal about me doesn't mean others have to be the same.

WAISTS???? You mean, wastes,my friend.
I'm sorry....at first I thought you were kidding. Then I realized you were serious. Spelling is important my friend. If someone chooses to correct you, even in a nice way like I am, YOU have the option to ignore.
It works both ways.
Relax. This is ALL in fun.

it truly is touching directly to the variety you modern-day your self. you're actually not making use of a cellular telephone... it incredibly is the entire element. it truly is no longer a text fabric message. you're speaking with human beings and giving education. no one is caught on the hours of darkness a while, it truly is in basic terms stressful to work out the laziness of u . s . a . achieving a climax the place we butcher our very own language anymore.
