go to crucial (hear me out).com and put into the configurator the 3 steps describing your computer, then find out the type, speed, size, etc. of the RAM and go to:

pny.com, memory upgrades, laptop and pick each step until you narrow down what you want and compare prices. (i recommend at least 512mb, 1gb if your computer can take it and you can afford it--it's cheaper to put it in now than to install, buy new, and do away with the old you double your price)

on my mac (pny was MORE expensive, for once) i used frys.com (fry's electronics) to find the one I needed (2GB for only $65)

First of all, be careful of getting "cheap" RAM. Much of it is junk, and also will give you many headaches with computer problems. Get the memory with a warranty, and a company to back it up (like Amazon or Crucial, Kingston, etc)

Use the free SystemScanner at Crucial.com to determine the type and amount you can use. If it offers 2 memory chips, realize that you would be taking out the one you have.

Your PC will run great with 512mb if you have XP. Need 2gb if possible if running Vista.

you are able to flow to a computing device restore save and have the battery replaced. it is a threat that it is one in each of those batteries that have "memory", the place the charging skill steadily gets smaller and smaller and dies counting on how normally you employ it . Notebooks/laptops are infamous for battery issues, it is the reason it is pronounced that one would desire to continually use the flexibility source each and all the time while AC is obtainable. besides, the guarrantee for desktops and its areas (which includes its battery %.) is basically for 10 months i think of. there's a cadre of manufacturers who make helpful those contraptions and its areas are no longer geared up to final, the scheming grasping spawn of computing device industry grab - the-shoppers- money- as- normally-every time- bosses. So easily, the valid rationalization is that your computing device is truly needing alternative/updating besides via now.

These are a couple of the more reasonable sites around.
