I was at one of "those" parties once, with all these super snobby elite types. I was about to leave, when I noticed a person who appeared to be carrying on a conversation with a lamp. I edged closer, and discovered, that they were, in fact, carrying on a conversation with the lamp. It apparently was not only a good listener, but a pretty good storyteller, too. This person was having a fine time.

I introduced myself, including to the lamp. As it turns out, this person found everyone there as boring as I did, and decided to talk to the most interesting person in the room, the lamp. We, of course, hit it off marvelously.

I often wonder whatever became of the lamp, though.

Yep all the time, I just find myself feeling like an observer and not a contributor and feel like I have nothing worthwhile to say or be of interest to anyone in the room. I wasn't always like that and every now and then the old me shines through and I have a really good time so I guess I've still got it but just need to find out how to get it back on a more permanent basis!

I feel lonely only in a crowded room. I keep wondering what the fffuckk these strangers are here for. But most importantly why am I here in the first place?

Yes, I think most everyone has. Everyone wants friends and to be loved and when you are in a crowded room your fears and insecurities are heightened. Don't worry about fitting into a mold, just be yourself and some of your anxieties may lessen

absolutely. all the time this can happen, so i just make sure that i find myself someone to talk to and force myself to talk to them. ask them questions about anything or everything and then you will find that you are not so lonely! give it a try.

Oh girl, a lot of times.
I think its because I feel that no one has anything in common with me or that they just talk to everyone else because they already know them.
