I would agree with you. Maybe not in the obvious ways, but it's still there. Some are prejudice against race some religion. Usually there is always something.

Stephanie, I'm going to have to respectfully disagree. Everyone is not a little bit racist. There are those of us who rarely think about race (our own or anyone else's) and naturally that means that it does not factor into how we treat people or how we lead our lives. I'm not trying to claim that I'm perfect, I'm far from it, but I was raised by very open minded people who did their best to combat the issues surrounding race relations in the southern US and I have to say that I think they did a fine job. I have no issues with anyone based simply upon his or her racial/cultural/ethnic background. (But, I'll admit that I do have a problem with idiots. Like I said, I'm not perfect. LOL) I've had enough life experience to realize that the world does not fit into a bunch of neatly labeled different colored boxes. There are others out there like me. And, while perhaps our numbers may be few, the fact that we exist at all is enough to negate a term as broad as "everyone."
The longer we excuse racism by saying things like "everyone's a little racist" the longer the problem will persist.

You are exactly right. I believe prejudice and racism is learned as well.
Example;
If you work with a lot of lazy [insert race] people who talk loud and dress like clowns then you will naturally develop a dislike for [insert race].
What makes the racist is the inability to not judge everyone by the behavior of a few.
I prefer to think of myself as someone who tries to see good in everyone while recognizing that I need to resist prejudice.

Everyone is a little bit prejudice. Everyone makes snap judgments about what people will be like before they meet them. It's a matter of letting those judgments influence your behavior towards them that make you racist.

thats deffo the case in the uk where I live, people aint afraid to say anything bad about a particular race. We still havent sorted out our racism problem. people are having a big problem with the Muslim minority in the UK what with all the threat of terrorism. People who live in majority white areas are very ignorant about other races and you get Indians being called Ni****** when infact they look nothing like them.

You're right- everybody is. The difference is that some make it into a cause for hatred and others just see people of other races and beliefs as not like them, but not bad.

Yes. I am, I am VERY prejudice but mildly racist. I love to pre-judge people, but I give them the chance to prove to me they aren't as I merely see them. Racism...just comes from idiots from each race that make it hard for me to like that specific race, hell even idiots in my own race piss me off. We ALL have a prejudice and racist person in us, as you said, to a certain degree, I agree completely. Your Q now gets a star! :)

Not everyone. Race is one of the last things I think about when meeting someone. In fact i care more about what kinda of person you are" stingy, nice, jerkbag, sweetheart, etc.
