I don't like him either. It supports magic, which is an abomination to God, so it is to me too. yuk

Zorak says, "I am like you quite a bit regarding this. Yet, and I will add this, it is O.K. for the rugrats and young teens, etc., and I can understand their liking for the character, the books, movies, etc., and that is all fine. However, what I DO NOT understand is how some older adults...much, much older adults..are obsessed with it. I am a comic book geek. A bit of a Sci-Fi and Fantasy geek. An art geek. These things I admit. Yet, the older adults who like Harry Potter...creep me out. I don't want to knock them for it, but I just can't help it. All the ones I have seen or known, really seem to be more than strange. I hate, hate, hate to label anyone, and perhaps I have just met the worst of the bunch, but, I don't know. It is good for the younger crowd, but, yeah, there is way too much hype for this stuff. It's true with most anything that becomes a pop culture fad in our society. Just have to ignore it or deal with it best we can. Me, I likes to drink beer and party with da' womens, Bwaa Haa Haaa!!!"

Just more hype on some movie. There are just too many new Harry Potter movies coming out every one or two years. The kids are starting too look way too old, there are too many crazy fans, and honestly, I'm getting sick of it.

Back when the Harry Potter series was first released I had a dream/nightmare that there were subliminals in the movie and that all of the children who watched it were being programmed to cooperate with a future takeover by evil beings. The movies have disturbed me ever since.

It may be hard to believe, but when Star Wars came out, there were people that didn't like that either. Especially the critics. What is wrong with them? They have a different taste? Maybe they prefer a different sort of realism? Maybe they have personal issues? Maybe they just don't like whatever is currently popular? It doesn't really matter. The point is, don't diss what you don't like. Just enjoy the fact that other people like your sort of movies.
My Dad doesn't like the Harry Potter movies. My two brothers and a sister don't go out of their way to see them (and haven't seen most of them). On the other hand, they all liked "The Fifth Element", so they can't be all bad.

I've never read the books, and I've seen 3 of the movies....the movies are okay but the whole thing with witchcraft and all that really isn't good, and its against my religion so I had to stop watching the movies.
But I thought they were okay.
