the airport is a long way from down town. Its going to cost you but there is public transportation available. The Airport is newer and should have many transportation options for you. Have you picked your hotel yet? Call them and ask if they will provide Trans. for you. Many hotels do or they participate in programs that have ride sharing. Once you are down town most things are fairly close. Have fun.

DIA is about 25 minutes from the airport, and there are taxis and buses available on hand...i would suggest getting a car, but if that is out of the picture, then you could call a cab, take the bus, or take the lightrail...all of these run all through downtown and the denver metro area!!!! the pepsi center is great!!! its huge and the seats are comfortable!!! have fun in denver!

The airport is 30-45 mins from downtown. There are shuttles and buses at the airport that go practically everywhere. There are also taxis, but those will cost more. Go to RTD.com and click on TRIP PLANNER. You can type in the address of where your staying and where you want to go (the pepsi center) and you will get a listing of buses going that route. This works for just about anywhere you want to go (Eliches, LoDo, 16th street mall, Boulder, etc) Depending on how far you are going on the bus, fares are $2-5. So its the cheapest transportation. You should also look into the Light Rail system. They are more limited on where they go, but you could still check. In my opinion to Light Rail is cleaner, faster, and more fun!
Good Luck and have fun in Denver.

Downtown is about 35 minutes from DIA. You can catch a cab--but it will cost you. I would advise you to take the Denver SkyRide run by the local mass transit company.

Take the AF route from DIA to downtown. It's about 6 bucks each way.
There is actually an RTD helpdesk in the airport and when you get there, you'll see people in purple shirts and straw cowboy hats. They're helpers so ask them anything and they'll get you where you need to go.
You can take the light rail to south and southeast Metro Denver from downtown--once there. Most of the tourism stuff is pretty centrally located so I doubt you'll need a car.
Enjoy your visit!

The airport is a long way from downtown; however, you can take a bus. Denver has a good online site, last time I checked; it includes a trip planner, so you should be able to use it to get around the city pretty well.

The airport is about 45 minutes from downtown and there are buses and shuttles leaving every ten minutes or so. The bus website is www.rtd-denver.com. Once you're downtown you can really walk anywhere.
