When the water in the sink runs down the drain it rotates clockwise in the US, not counterclockwise as in Australia. Makes all the difference in the world.

The US is different coast to coast. Not sure which part you want to talk about since it is a pretty diverse country. The East Coast, the West Coast, there is the Mid West and the South - different each and all.
