I found a few online for 10-12 Grand, but I'm not sure if these cars have problems or not. Let me know if you have heard anything about it or own one.

I would check the nada and blue book values.Unfortunately the newer Chryslers have bad trade in value.I think the Sebring is a nice looking car and if you could find one with reasonable miles from an owner that can prove the required maintenance was done at a lower than high blue book or nada go for it.I would look for a price between trade in value and high book price.

Actually it is one of the better Chrysler on the road. IF it has the 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine. They are produced by Mitsubishi and are an excellent power plant. Also, it then has a Mitsubishi trans. That's excellent because for years Chrysler trans have beet s@*t. If you look at the sebring coupes on the interior you will see a lot of similarity to The Eclipse. (because they are the same. shhhhhhh don't tell any one) you can get a Eclipse with Chrysler badges for a lot lest than an Eclipse because Chrysler's resale sucks... I would get one.

depends on you personally the rx8 it has a wankel/rotary engine, which requires a decent amount of maintenance its bad on gas theres a "high powered model" i think that has a 6 speed manual then the 4 speed auto and its fun as hell to drive....9k rpm redline...smoke the tires for a 1/4 mile easy in a raw performance aspect they cant compare to the predecessor...the rx7(you should get your hands on one of those) your 2004 would qualify for the extended warranty due to it being unreliable i believe it covers the engine core which is 8 years or 100k miles so next year that would be up the sebring i dont really care for. im not a big chrysler fan pre 2006 you see those everyday you should get a chrysler 300 srt8 if you like those but you dont see an rx8 everyday

I have owned my chryler sebring for about 2 years. I would never purchase another one. I have had problems with sluggish take-offs and lack of power when accelerating. I have had this car in the shop, but the problem was not diagnosed. My front end suspension had bolts that had worked loose before the warranty ran out. Right now I have water accumulating in my rear passenger floorboard even with the air conditioner off and who knows where that is coming from.

They are mediocre cars, at best. You will regularly find these cars in the 'rental fleets' of Hertz, Avis, and the like.

Models in these years have been known to have issues with transmissions and ignition, amonst others.

Frankly, you're better off to spend your money on a used Toyota Camry or Honda Accord. The reliability of these two models is nearly spotless.

Do yourself a favor and check what Consumer Reports has to say about the Sebring and its twin, the Dodge Stratus.

I own an '04 Chrysler Sebring with 71k miles, and I haven't had any problems with it since I bought it. The only problem I had was with the 4-disc cd changer, but I happened to fix it with no problems. The car runs great, has great handling and acceleration, but sucks on gas. Mine is an Automatic. I haven't had any problems with it, and my neighbor (who owns the same car) hasn't had any problems with theirs either, and she's owned it for about 2 years. They are pretty good cars, and I love mine for sure!

Not only some of the least reliable cars on the road - also the worst resale value.

Its a Chrysler. So its going to fall apart, and be in the shop every other week.
