does anyone know if there is wi-fi at San Francisco International airport?

Yeah it is free. Basically the phone is just working as a device to connect to the wi fi. Make sure it is connected to the wi fi before you go browsing though or you could end up with a big bill if you are actually connecting to the Internet through your mobile service provider and you haven't got a data allowance on your tariff :-)

Most major airports have wireless internet capability. Some are in cafes and some requrie a user fee.

Yes, most airports (including SFO) have wi-fi networks. However, I think currently you have to pay if you want to use them.

i know charlotte douglas has wifi access points...most major airports do
