Yes, I brought some military friends to my dads. They wanted to see the ocean and he live by the beach. Well, he put them to work. I stood there watching them (suckers) and I looked over at my dad and realized we were both standing the exact same way with the same look on our faces. It freaked me out because I've never lived with my dad.

There is an old saying: At 15, your dad is an idiot. At 25 he's a genius. I experience this daily, and I have come to terms that I am my father now. Being 36 (which is not old, of course) you start to see things in a different way. I work with alot of people that are 18 and above. I literally am old enough to be thier father. Alot of them ask me for advice and I give it too them, then realize my dad said the same stuff to me about 18 years ago. My dad is a cool cat, I could be worse off.....

Yes, I realize now as a college student that I'm very much like my father minus the mustache and add some boobs. haha.
I'm a very hard worker, I take the bottom of the barrel jobs just so I don't have depend on someone else or a bank, etc. I'm very determined in life and I do not take no for an answer.
I like who I'm becoming!

The older that I get, the more that I hear their voices coming from me...and it is unsettling at times. It's not horror... I was blessed to have two parents who loved me. My father was my hero and if I can be even half of the parent that he was...then I will have done a great job in raising my sons.

Sometimes I look in the mirror and see my mother. Then I say something and sound like her. Scares me like crazy!! That's the last person I want to be.

Yes, sadly. My mother was a screamer when we were growing up, she didnt hit us/whip us much, we got enough of that from my stepdad. But she could yell and scream. I caught myself doing that to my children, I didn't like it and I changed it for the sake of my children.

Why with horror?
When you put away childish things, that includes unripened states of mind and emotion. Then is when you enter the human race.
