Very few places give out free .com domain names - in fact, I've never found a website that gives out free .com domains without some silly subdomain extension on it. However, you can buy a domain from http://www.godaddy.com or other registrar websites that will not have the crap (subdomain) you describe (if you wish), and it will (can) end in .com. It's something like $8 a year just for the domain (not the hosting itself, which incurs an additional fee).

Additionally, you can get a free domain *basically* without the crap you describe here http://www.freedomain.co.nr/ (but it will end in .co.nr instead of .com). You will need to force it to redirect to a free webhost though (like to your hello.stupid.com. You won't notice the redirect if you set up masking correctly though (so it will appear like you are still on the .co.nr website). Another such service is http://www.dot.tk/en/index.html (will end in .tk).

Finally, if you prefer the format http://www.freewebsite.com/username/ (for example), you can try the FreeWebs service at http://www.freewebs.com.

Personally, I use a (free) .co.nr domain which redirects to my freewebs website. Works very well.

I wish I could understand what you mean.

Websites do not define domain names.

A standard domain is in the format http://www.xyz.com.

A standard subdomain is in the format http://abc.xyz.com. These are related to the domain name not the web site itself.

Go to a domain name registrar and review their info on domains and subdomains.

If my answer does not address you need, please write what you want answered. Then, before you post it, read what you wrote as though you were an extremely critical English Composition teacher grading what was written. Then revise the writing until the extrememly critical English Composition teacher would highly accept what you wrote. At that time present your written, concise, clear question on this forum and you will probably get the information you seek.

To get a straight .com domain name you will need to register it yourself. You normally have to pay for them, and will then need to find someone to host it.
