I swithed to a bigger monitor, but neither work now. When I hooked up the larger monitor, the green light came on for a second, then turned organge. Then I hooked up the old monitor, and it did the same thing. It's like it's going straight to hibernate mode or something.

I tried restarting the computer, but no luck.

Thanks in advance.

Make sure that your video card is seated properly. Make sure that you do not have any bent pins in the signal cables and that they are fully plugged in.

Just because you hear the fans and drives spin up in your system does not mean that the CPU is working. I am guessing that moving the tower to get to the video connector has unseated something, check all the internal cables and card are seated fully.

When the system comes up, the drives will spin up, but after that they should start chattering and the drive access light should come on as the OS loads. Is that happening. If it is then it is probably your video card, if it is not then it is something on the motherboard.

Possibly something has just chosen this point in time to die.
