I found one in my flower bed and the kids are wanting to touch it but im not sure. The web says its poisonous to others animals but it doesnt mention humans? Thanks for your answers.

They only appear to be poisonous if you lick them etc, they are actually a very common pet.

Like almost all salamanders, efts have a small amount of toxin in the skin. It leaves a terrible taste in the mouth of most predators and can make smaller predators sick.

To a human it will just taste funny if you decide for some reason to lick it, a little like licking a nine volt battery. It is not harmful to humans in any real way.

Touch any amphibian with wet hands to protect its skin and wash your hands after touching it.
