White smoke may be water entering the combustion chamber. Blueish gray smoke your burning oil. And black smoke very rich fuel mixture. One thing you can do is monitor your radiator coolant level if it's continually dropping then you may have coolant entering the combustion chamber through a bad head gasket or a crack in the cylinder head. Take it to your local mechanic for diagnosis. If you let it go too long you can possibly stand a chance of hydraulic lock, That's bad!

White smoke out the exhaust is always a sign of water in the combustion chamber, usually as a result of a bad head gasket.

My dad is a mechanic and he said if your car ever blows white smoke, it's dying. Sorry!
