I have been getting cramps for the past 4 wks. They hurt a lot. I am 9 and not started my period yet? I told my mom and she asked how long i had had them. I told her and she acted really weird. Do cramps mean i'll get my period soon?

Down there has been smelling unusal and it hurts when i go to the bathroom.I go on vacation in 2 wks is there a chance i/ll get it before i go or while im there.

In order to answer your question thoroughly, I'd have to know more about what's going on like how long the cramps last, if they come and go, if you pass gas after you get these cramps, and so forth. I know that's sorta gross to think about but it really helps to figure out just what's going on. Cramps can be from different things not necessarily that you might start your period. You could be constipated, you could have a bladder infection, you could have gas pains. It's hard to tell.

If you are not having sex yet, there is no reason why it should be smelling. You are going to be starting soon, so be prepared and ask your mother or aunt or sister or friend that have already started what to do next. Don't be scared, it is a fact of life.

The exact same thing happened to my little sister. she had really bad cramps and odor. It turned out that she hadn't been eating very much fiber and it blocked her up. Im really glad that you stopped hurting. I doubt that you will get your period for a few more years. The earliest I've ever known anyone to get theirs is twelve. Good luck

It's possible that your period could be coming but this really needs to be evaluated by your doctor to see what they say. The reason your mom was acting strange is because she's concerned.

If it smells bad down there or hurts to go to the bathroom, you NEED to go to the doctor. These are both signs of a serious problem. You really have to go to the doctor.

its possible that your period is going to come on preety soon or you should just see a doctor bc your only 9 so get that checked out

There is a possibility, that you are about 2 start your period, but you might be having trouble, with your apendics.

You may have a UTI or something. You should have the doctor check it out to be safe. If it is an infection, it can make you really, really sick.

Honey, you may have a bacterial infection have mom take you to the doctor right away! Very, very, important.
