I got a speeding ticket and my license taken away. It will take about two to three weeks to get it back.

I am 21 and get carded every time I go out with friends. I was wondering if there is a way that I can still go out with my friends for a drink without my driver's license.

If it matters I live in Illinois.

You can go and get a state ID card. An establishment will accept any form of Photo Govt ID, which has to include your birthday.

go to your state's dmv, and apply for a non-driver's id. generally you'd need the same proof of identity as you did for your driver's license. or.... just don't go out drinking for the next two or three weeks.

Here's a novel idea, don't drink for 2 - 3 weeks. It won't kill ya.
