i usually pick the best answer same day or the next day. i hardly ever leave it open for the full 3 days. i never leave it to voting.

I read all the answers and give them (most all of them) a Thumbs UP just for a decent answer. I feel it an honor to get a answer and wait another day to pick best answers. Some are difficult because there is always more than one good one. However if one of the good answered "Starred" my question I will definitely choose them because they really liked my question and I appreciate that. If answers are few I extend them even tho I have found it rarely helps. I keep hoping tho....

Depends on the question and how badly I need the answer.
A poll I might pick that quickly, but if it is a more important question like something to do with life or relationships, I tend to leave them longer so that I can (hopefully) get the maximum number of answers so that i have a max number of options from which to select.

I picked best answers after 4 hours today, don't usually, cos I've been getting questions deleted

I wait a few days to see if more people will answer then decide on one but if non are helpful I don't choose any.
