Who said there was something wrong with them? And how many female hermits do you know? The problem with becoming a modern day hermit is finding a reclusive space to be in. Our wilderness is shrinking rapidly and city life is so Big Brotherish. I enjoy my own company a lot more than anyone elses and I fail to find a fault in that!

Nothing is wrong with someone genetically a recluse. Others may have problems related to what drove them to it. Human apes videoraping a woman; others knowing about it, lying to her, and doing nothing to stop it can drive a woman to seclusion. Of course there are an infinite number of other human ape attacks that can push a human being away from human apes.

If they don't want to mix with others, its their decision. But, we are all social animals and need each other to survive in my opinion.
