Babyshambles - I really have no idea

To the other posters who wonder why its ridiculous, because its just yet another publicity stunt that wont actually result in finding her. They are only available in certain places in Scotland and seriously apart from on the luggage carousel, when is anyone going to see the tag??? Its about as effective as realising 50 balloons and then watching them sail straight out over the Atlantic (but thats what Kate and Gerry did)

Instead of making luggage tags or releasing balloons into the Atlantic ocean, why dont Kate and Gerry spend like 1 hour a day searching around the resort. Maybe doorknocking. Something. Just have them do something that remotely resembles a search for Madeleine. I mean geez, considering they are as guilty as hell for neglecting their 3 children, the least they can do is get off their a*** and do something themselves. Or does Madeleine not even deserve that?

Whatever will they come up with next. I think everyone knows about Madeleine by now and I`ve said from day one that I fear this OTT publicity has been detrimental in finding this little girl alive.

Would it make you feel better for them to go out in person and knock on doors that have already been knocked on and search premises that have already been searched?

Cos that's all it would do, Dave, isn't it? Thankfully, they aren't planning the campaign around what would make you happy.

A soap opera generally ends after a half hour episode. Madeleine McCann will remain missing until her abductor releases her or she is spotted by someone who might have seen her image in a newspaper or on a balloon or a wristband.

Tags on luggage seem to be pointless. Who is going to stare at someone else's luggage tags? I just dont get the uncaring way any of this has been carried out. I have said before and I will say again, my children would not have been left alone for one second at home or abroad. Another thing I will say is that not one penny of the money being collected should go into the pockets of the parents of this little girl. The money should be placed in a special fund for ALL missing children.

Omg team mccann are really pushing it now...... This is so infuriating now as these silly gestures are probably thought out whilst dining out on an evening as a way to try and kid us they are actually doing something constructive with the money .. and then they will exploit their missing daughter to gain more money .. even Allan sugar would be ashamed of their business antics ...

There can't be many people who don't know that Madeleine is still missing. Yet more sightings in Malta show that the public are still keeping their eyes open.

This is overkill, and the McCanns have been at risk of this for quite some time now. They have only themselves to blame if people think they are just after a fast buck.

I agree with Lexy...Anything to keep & increase awareness of a missing child is good. If you get beyond the McCann block that most of you suffer from, you'll realise that luggage tags do make sense. They travel all over the world & are seen by people who travel...just imagine the possibilities...
Babysham, yes, we do chuck the bags under our beds but don't we spend hours & hours waiting in airport lounges too?!

Saturnfive. I agree 100% with you, but I had a violation for
saying Dave was besotted (I think thats the reason) so I
have to beware of what I say!! Sorry Dave.

It's like putting missing children on milk cartons.

I actually don't think its a bad idea, all missing children could appear on these tags, it will get their faces out to the public..

Anything that promotes kids that are missing could only be a good thing Dave......

I agree with Lexy & Faith.
So why is this "absolutely ridiculous" Dave ? Is there ANYTHING that the McCanns have done with regard to rasing awareness about their missing daughter that does not meet with your obssessive dis-approval......Oh on second thoughts Dave, dont respond to that question, I am sure I have heard it all before..........
I look forward to you daily rants, sorry posts, about Mr McCannns blog with growing anticipation.
Edit SS4
What a very odd thing to say, Why should we stop caring, I will not accept she is dead in the same way as I will not accept the McCann's guilt regard involvement in the actual abduction, I won't PROOF.

Isnt stalking a crime that should be punished. Whoever you are and you know who I am talking about...why not grow up. Do you not have anyone that loves you in your life that you have to be so childish. I am getting so sick of this crap.

Dave your question...this is stupid..I don't go around looking at peoples luggage tags at the airport and well if I saw someone doing that I would go get security because it is private property. The baggage handlers probably don't do it either and even if they do...they are on the ground they can't see how is getting in and out of the planes so how does that help?

Lexy but it is not about all kids..its not like Milk Cartons at all. Ok so I am guilty I just looked at the link...I don't know if I would notice this running through the airport trying to catch my flight but I can guess to say some may notice them in the airport..but why not do something like this for all missing children. Stand out front of the airports and hand them out for free to each passenger. At least it would seem they were doing something but nope can't waste that time away from God knows what to stand outside an airport for days or even hours to help in the effort to find our daughter we will just make them available to travel agents? Who even uses travel agents anymore..my aunt and all her colleges when under several years ago because everyone uses the internet as a free travel agent these days.
