ok we get food stamps but i am turning 16 , i know they dont take away your portion untill your 18 but what if i get a job, will that effect us? (will it matter part time or not?)

You being a minor living with your parents, it shouldn't effect your family at all if you get a job. Now when you reach 18 and working I don'tt think they will deny benefits unless your making over the amount they'll allow you to have.
Every state is different with their laws. Best thing to do is just check into it more carefully and then go from there.

Your mom should be honest with them and report your income. You may have a slight reduction in your food stamp benefits. But at 16 and working part time you surely can't be making that much to make much of a difference with regards to food stamps. Have your mom ask the worker about it.

Well if your 16 usually they don't give food stamps to you. Unless you meant your parents. It will probably count unless you use your money for stuff you and your family need and not want. but it also depends on how much you make. Not usually though so it shouldnt effect it

Yes it will lower because more money is coming into the house hold. Depends on your income also.

As long as you are a minor it shouldn't change - but check with the Department of Human Services (or whatever they call it in your area)

It will affect how much your folks can receive in foodstamps, unfortunately. Foodstamps is one of those government programs which punishes people with initiative, especially if you're the kid of someone receiving them.

yeah it will get lowered. dont try to beat the system either, if they catch up to you, you might lose the benefits and have to pay it back. good luck.

any money such as income in the household has to be reported. unless you are a student in school.
