There's believing without understanding; this kind is called Religion. There's believing and understanding at the same time; this is called Science. And there's believing beyond understanding; this is called Faith.

Anyone can be a religionist, but not everyone can be a scientist, and very few can be faithful...

GOOD LUCK!

If you understand something then you don't need to believe it. At this stage you can only know it.

Yes you can understand something you don't now or ever believed. Sounds like you might need a vacation. In this case you better believe it without understanding it. If you wait for understanding you might blow a gasket and then it would be too late.

Plausible=worthy of belief?
Well whatever one you understand the least is the most plausible.

It's more plausible to understand something you don't believe, because a growing population may have similar opinions about the thought in question.

I think it is definitely more plausible to understand something you don't believe in. To believe in something that you cannot understand is a little bit like religion to me and it is not easy to do.

If you ask 1000 Christians what they believe, you will get 1000 variations. Some will vary widely, some slightly. I don't think believers understand the Bible any more than unbelievers or there would be a consensus. I don't think the Bible is intended to be fully understood by anyone.

Yes....and it is a fact. People believe....because feeling is believing. When you feel that it is the truth...then you know what...it IS the truth.
So of course you can believe something that you can not understand. Like Infinity...you believe infinity. We all believe in the universe...but we can not really understand it, now can we? And me? Well...of course I believe. But you know....I have my way of understanding. And that understanding, for me, IS believeing.
And can I understand something I don't believe or don't want to believe? Of course...and I do.
One can understand that their loved one who is deceased can not come back...but they don't want to believe that. I'm talking from experience here.
And which of the two is more Plausible? Well...I'll say the first one. Because there are millions of things human does not understand...but believes. And if I were to go on way to name them all...well...let's just say...it'll take....ETERNITY.
LOL... :-)

Yes I believe the sun will rise tomorrow.

I cannot fully understand how the Earth rotates nor experience this rotation in full. Additionally, I cannot fully understand how solar flairs work, or how the Earths Poles work to ensure that the sun will rise tomorrow as it did yesterday ... Some are screaming that our existance will cause those poles to move and the sun will not rise - but who knows when that will be ... I cannot understand how gamma ray's work and I'm not there billions of light years ago when stars explode ... but I believe that a gamma-ray won't harm me while I sleep so that the sun will rise tomorrow.

I must believe in so many unknowns and use "Faith" otherwise; I would stay up all night and not get my sleep. I would have to embrace my loved one's and tell them what' in my heart for every second that I was breathing if I had to understand everything in its entirety.

the more plausible one is Can you believe something that you cannot understand. Example: I believe in God with all my heart but do not understand all He does or has done.

You will never understand something you don't want to believe in, it's contrary

Belief in God without understanding the extent of God's
being. I don't think it is possible to understand something
which isn't believed. I shouldn't believe it only because I
understand why I shouldn't believe it. Anything with I don't
understand I might or might not believe based on the risk of
false belief and the reward of true belief. I will expend
significant effort to attempt to understand those things which
seem to have a high reward.

I do not believe in something, I do not understand, and I do not understand something I do not believe in. I think that something you don't believe in is more plausible.
