Welcome to the world of double-standardness mate! You'll find that you get this wherever you go - in America, the people who think that anyone who doesn't like Bush should be shot are the EXACT same people who would protest about things like tightening of gun laws etc (or anything they felt withdraws from their "civil rights").

Similarly you'll find that there are smokers who protest to high heaven about not being allowed to smoke but don't give a **** about the rights of non-smokers.

It's double-standardness, and there aint a whole lot you can do about it!

If you hate someone because of a characteristic that they can't change (sexual orientation, race), then yes you're an extremely bad person.

If you hate someone because of what they choose (profession, religion), then that's not as bad.

To answer your question, islamaphobes and anarchists are better than racists and homophobes.

You are using the wrong word. A racist is a person who thinks they are genetically superior to a race.

Prejudice is a person who doesnt like another race.

To write-off an entire race of people due to a belief that they are somehow inferior or unacceptable as a group is racist, by definition.

If it is purely based on the fact they are a different colour then yes that makes them racist. And people who hate others are no better than anyone else.

Racism is an irrational hatred of another race. To me just bec\ause you don't like someone of another race, doesn't make you a racist. It might not be because of their race. It could quite simply be you don't like them and they just happen to be another race.

yes they are racist, everyone is racist at a time, not everyone hates the police or gay people or muslims.

Not necessarily. You are a racist if the reason why you don't like someone is their race, but if they are from another race and you don't like them for other reasons, it doesn't mean you are a racist.

No, for instance I already dislike you, you may be of another race but that's immaterial, it's you I dislike.
That doesn't make me a racist, just a little intelligent.
