Do you want a tall guy that plays offense AND defense and can lead your team to multiple championships? Then Tim is your guy.

As we all witnessed in the 2006-2007 playoff season, Tim Duncan is the better player. The actions of Dirk in the playoffs were simply unacceptable. Duncan would never crack under pressure, and NBA players time to shine is during the playoffs. It is during playoffs that NBA players become NBA legends. Duncan has shown us time and time again that he is a MVP, a team player, and one of the most respected players in the league.

Even after I am a die hard Mavs fan I have to say that Duncan beats dirk when it comes to leader ship and protecting the paint. Dirk is a better scorer though.

Why was dirk the MVP then did nothing in the playoffs when Duncan was the MVP in 2000 was doing in the playoffs good in the playoffs even they where they lost so Duncan is good

come on man. this is easy. of course it is tim duncan. he has won more championships than dirk. even though last year they lost to dallas they are still better than them. when it is all said and done tim duncan will be the best power forward ever to play in the nba.

Dirk is good enough to get you to the playoffs but not win a championship. Not yet atleast. If you want to win it all go w/ Duncan
