Sorry Sierra...this is your Daddy.....I like to think me and your mom know whats best for you right now, we try to raise you right so when you get old enough you can make responsible choices on your own, we may not be here for you all your life, but as long as we are, we are going to love you no matter what....now take your butt to bed and get off the computer.......

Sorry couldn't help but answer. There's an old saying that my mother had on the wall that saidsomething to the effect of "teenagers tired of listening to your parents, sick of them telling you what to do, fight back, get a job and move out!"
No but seriously, even though you just think that I'm some dumb adult that doesn't know what you're going through. Really EVERY preteen and teenager on this planet has at some point hated what their parents asked them to do. Unless they are asking you to do something that is truly damaging to you, then I would take the time to listen. The reason parents say what they do is because they have gone through the exact same thing as you sweety. Some day you will understand.

I am not a preteen but I can tell you what my 14 yr old does. She has completely spoiled herself in a way that has not given my husband and myself any choice as to spoil her too. Not in any bad ways but just in her ways of dealing with the pleasant and the unpleasant aspects of her life. Her sisters even spoil her to an extent.

Here's some advice, imagine you have a preteen. You don't tell them what to do & let them raise theirselves so that then they can get on Yahoo Q&A asking "Help, I"m 13, went to a party, got drunk & slept with 3 different guys, who's my babies daddy?" Get over it, I don't want to see you on Maury Povich.

I'm not an adult, I am a young person and I say that it does get annoying with parents telling you what to do, but THAT'S THEIR JOB! Parents are supposed to tell us what to do so we know what's right and wrong. Without rules, we'd run wild in complete chaos and anarchy. Trust me, I hate it when my parents tell me what to do, but their parents did that to them and we'll do it to our kids, because that's how its supposed to be.
