I have a 1971 Yamaha RT1-360 that i'm in the process of restoring. The engine is kicking over, but there is no spark. I believe it's the points, but still not too sure.
Any other possibilities? And by chance, know where I can find a wiring diagram for the other electronics without buying the manual?

I didn't think those bikes were still around.
I had an RT2 - fun bike.

Check the coil.
Spark plug cap.
Check you're getting power to the coil & points.
Unscrew the spark plug cap from the wire - cut off 1/4" and screw the cap back on to make sue there's a good connection.

Check the points with a screwdriver, just turn the motor over until the points are open, then short them out with a screwdriver and watch the plug, it should fire, points don't just go so bad they don't fire unless they are really burnt up. (they may just be dirty, clean them with a point file and carb cleaner.) You can check them with a volt meter too to see if they are conducting. Could be a bad condensor or bad coil. Spring for the manual for info on troubleshooting, or you might spend more than the cost of the book, buying parts you don't need.
