I hope they're not lost forever.

When was the last time you got your timing wrong and weren't able to rescue someone.

Hey, that's life. it happens. If they won't say it, I will: you're forgiven. :-)

I was supposed to go into work on my day off to bring a cigar to a patient that had requested one. I didn't realize that it was his final request, although he tried to make me understand that. I had to sign paperwork to have him taken off of oxygen (which I struggled with because they said he would die). So, I woke up late the next morning and called to apologize but he had already died. All he wanted was a cigar before he went. I will never ever forget that...it was 20 years ago.

When someone directly asked to speak to me, i think they needed help, and i blatantly said no... i was only 14, but still it sticks in my mind, and i regret ever doing it, but im not going to dwell on that anymore, i was wrong, but i have learnt from that experience, and help anybody who needs my help!

I am now doing it on purpose because when I needed some one to talk to one day, I realized there was no one I could rely on, that I was the rock.

I guess I am lucky that has never happened. But hey, we are human and our timing can be off.
