When did she OWE people to take off the crown?
Have you any idea of what kind of sick nonsense she goes through by people who act like you do, as if she owes them this, owes them that, and since she won't give it to them, then she must be "feeling superior and stuck-up?"
Do you know what projection is?
You need to get a life. She is a representative of the British Empire and has to project that image constantly. SHE DOESN'T GET A LIFE! She's got to live the Queen's life, and because she does, even though she made clear that she was tired enough of dressing as she was, you give her grief.
We have the same problem with a bunch of seditious brats here in the States. They don't know the first thing about patriotic protest. They just whine and think they are entitled.
Sorry, she doesn't owe you. Get over it.

And it appears that you didn't read the correction put out by the BBC just a little while ago.
First reports, as is often the case, were totally wrong and out of context.
What was disgraceful was not your Queen, but a photographer who doesn't know what the clothes the Queen was wearing signify.

That "stupid crown" is the very symbol and embodiment of Her Majesy's office. She did the right thing.
