If you base a vote solely on one issue, then you've selfishly used the democratic system. Use your vote to pick a candidate that best represents your views and opinions OVER-ALL. Gas is controlled by OPEC, so if you want a better price, start looking into electric cars or hydrogen fuel cells. We enjoy some of the cheapest gas in the civilized world in America. Check the gas prices Europe before you complain. I currently live in Italy and it's dang near 2 euro a liter.

That's like asking " would you eat a donut because sheep eat grass?" ...completely un-related. Basically , we're gonna stay dependent on oil , and pay whatever prices are thrown at us because that's how it works. It's easy . It's what we know , and unitl the supply is cut off it's gonna keep on keepin' on . Necessity is the mother of invention....not politics . When the necessity for alternative fuels is great enough . ie: we either run low , or tell Saudi Arabia to suck it, American inginuity will prevail like it alwasy has , and something amazing will become the new standard.

No. I would not vote for Democrats if they lowered gas prices.

Just because of high gas prices? No. Because I don't want another republican in office? Yes. Does it really matter? I'm just tired of voting against someone who's running, choosing the lesser of two evils.

No. The person I will vote for is a great candidate that just happens to be democrat. I agree with (so far) all their point of views and think he would be perfect.

No. I'm old enough to remember when President Jimmy
Carter (Democrat) was in office and we had gas rationing
and there were very long lines, people had to buy their gas
according to the first letter of their last name. (A-M can buy
on Monday and Wednesday; N-Z can buy gas on Tues and
Thursday). It was maddening. I haven't seen anything that
bad with presidential Republicans.

Not for that reason. I don't think either party can control gas prices.
