I just recently started a new birth control (my third one in a year, I have to get new ones a lot) and it seems as if I have been tired more often. That and I think it could have upped my migraines, I am getting them a lot, but I think that has been going on a bit before I started the new bc. I found out my boobs were probably sore from the bc, but am I tired because of it? I'm on summer break so my sleeping habbits have become a bit unordinary, so could it just be that? I just seem to be tired/lazy all day. I can do simple things like walking and a class or two but I always feel like I could sleep for hours. Kind of like I do things in a fog with sleep always on the mind and wanting it. Could this be from the bc?

Most likely it is the bc that is causing it. Also depending on what type of bc you are on. I got my first dose of depo shot in June 4th so it's been over a month now. Well i too have been really tired. Like i sleep and it just isn't enough. I try to keep myself busy so that i way, i can get to bed early at night, and won't sleep for half of the day. It seems to be pretty much getting a little bit better. I think it's cause our bodies have to adjust to all these hormones that are in our body now so it's going to take at least a couple of months. If it continues to be bothersome, please talk to your doctor. They should be able to help you. I'm glad i talked to mine, because i had a problem with bad nausea so he gave me something to help with that. But try to exercise and stay active, and don't worry about it. Your body will adjust soon enough.

It depends on what kind of birth control. If it is the "pill" then "yes" it could make you tired and lazy becuase it is a pill to regulate your hormones and your cycle and that in itself can give you the symptoms of PMS on of which is headaches and that all around lazy feeling. I myself have not had the priviledge of having PMS so it would be my understanding that the "oill" would cause that of which you are talking about. But it is summer and maybe you are just getting lazy to be lazy. It is the season to be lazy isn't it? May be no not maybe but you really need to get some exercise and fresh air and good food inside you and sunshine to boot, those are the things that will get rid of any ailment that you have with anything. As for the bc, I think that you should reevaluate your situation and think about whether or not it is worth it to be on it. I believe that abstainance is better, for you. Then wait for that right man and then plan on getting pregnant for sure.

Breast tenderness is a common side effect with birth control pills and the way I found to help deal with that was to get a larger sized bra.

As for the other symptoms it could have something to do with wanting to sleep more, especially now on summer break. I would recommend getting in touch with your dr to have them evaluate the situation further to see what they think could be going on to cause this.

Unfortunately anytime you change your hormones you will get side effects. Migraines are common. It would be best to see your doctor in case it is something else. He may want to have you try another brand of the pill. In the mean time try drinking lots of water! Dehydration can cause a lot of the symptoms you are experiencing. It has to be pure water, not soda or juice. It is not the same.

Not likely, I have migraines and have been on several different pills to see if the pills were aggrivating the migraines nothing changed. It was all stress, lack of sleep, and lights sometimes set me off. If this pill is the normal estrogen/progesterone type pill, if it is one of these newer pills w/ different hormones it is possible b/c they can cause some electrolytes and minerals to get thrown off in rare cases.

You should read the side effect that come with the pills they usually let you know all of them. It could vary from pill to pill and from person to person. If you're not sure than better ask your doctor for advice.
