I'm looking to stock my 10 gallon tall fish aquarium. I've tried Goldfish and they are really sensitive to change i've discovered so I don't want anymore of them. I want some that are pretty also. But not boring like Guppies, Mollies, Neons or Danios. Any advice is great. Thanks!

A very pretty fish and cousin of the Betta is a Paradise fish. They are very hardy and have a fun personality. They will even jump out of the water to take flakes from the fingers of the person feeding them. In a 10 gal tank I would suggest a male Paradise fish and 3 Peppered, Panda or Bronze Corys for the bottom. That would be a very easy to maintain and fun set up for a 10 gal tank.

Though you call guppies boring, that would have to be my recommendation. The colour variations and fantastic fins you can find are non ending with that breed of fish, the endler guppy also has very unusual colour patterns. Aside from that, a male betta would look very good in that size of tank. Since you don't seem to be interested in Tetras either, which can look amazing in schools I'd probably say Dwarf Gouramis would be your best bet in my opinion. A bala sharks always a good looking fish, and fits well into community tanks but yours would only be big enough to accomidate a very small one and you'd need to upgrade when it got bigger, as they can get as big as a foot and a half in ideal conditions.
Hope I helped

If neons and molllies and guppies and danios (which are too fast and active for a small tank like this anyway) are boring, perhaps you can give an example of what isn't? Maybe fish are boring to you and it's the wrong pet/hobby for you?

A 10 gal tank is not the best choice for most fish. Having said that, with proper water changes and maintenance, you can keep German blue rams, Apistograms, corydoras, bumble bee catfish, honeycomb tatia catfish, kuhlie loaches, Bolivian rams, shell dwelling Tanganyikan cichlids, bumble bee gobies, knight gobies, red chromides and so on. Regardless of what fish you choose, please google the fish before you buy them. Try to learn a bit about them, and you will have much better success.

I hate to say this but if you have trouble keeping goldfish whitch is a very hardy species of carp, and don't care for guppies, mollies neons and dianos then you have just about exausted all possibilities as far as I know. I will add that a ten gallon tank is really too small to start with also.

I would consider upgrading to a 20 gallon and maybe have a couple angelfish in it. They are very smart and fun to watch. They also come up to the tank to "greet" you. But, they are a very delicate fish and water quality must be pristine. So, if you aren't going to change your water every week I would decide against it.

Try Gouramis and Killifish. They are very colorful, and you can train the Gouramis to eat frozen food out of your hands.
http://www.aka.org/aka/modules/content/index.php?id=2 Killifish can be difficult to find, so you may have to have a store order them for you (or you can order them yourself).
