well, if you took geometry you know the symbold for when it says measurment angle. so here's the equation that I need to solve for X. measurment angle1=2x-8,measurment angle 3=116

You do not give sufficient data to solve.

Iwill assume that angle 1 and angle 3 are supplementary and thus add to 180 degrees.

Thus 2x-8 +116 = 180
2x = 72
x = 36

to figure this out, i sorta need to know if angle 1 and angle 3 are supposed to be equal.
because if they are, then the equation would be 2x-8=116.
and to solve it::
2x-8=116.
2x-8+8=116+8 (you would move the 8 from the left to the right)
2x=124
2x/2=124/2
x=62



and how about that second problem? are they equal too? cuz i don't think thats possible...

To answer this question you must know the relationship between angle 1 and angle 2. Are they equal? supplementary? complementary?
