I mean honestly, have you guys read about this? I don't like Bush at all and have not voted for him but i see no grounds for impeachment. Then again, i didn't for Clinton either.

Opinionatedkitten: to say breaking a treaty is an impeachable offense then every president would've been impeached because we broke and continue to break every treaty we ever made with native americans. Also, congress passed the patriot act so it would have to get struck down by the supreme court, then maybe it would go away.

Actually it is because they (the whitehouse) keep using Special powers (executive privelage) if Bush had just come out 7-8 months ago and said yeah I fired em. Why cause I wanted to. The guys we hired.... they where next in line. There would be no controversy. It is the whole thing of attempting to cover things up and bad lies that have the committe worried. Look up Watergate (Nixon) to see why.

No the issue of who knew what, when hasn't got anything to do with impeachment. Congress has been charged with oversight of the executive branch, something that has been missing for the last six years. Now that there is a legal right for Congress to want to and have the will to exercise that right the administration is running scared, and, frankly, if there isn't any crime I can only wonder why. A congressional subpoena is nothing to laugh off. They are quite serious about this, its insulting to think that we, the people are never to know about decisions that affect us, and this is just about whether or not it was executive interference with the judicial branch. Not classified information regarding the war.

I don't think it has anything to do with impeachment. At this point, by the time the investigation was over and impeachment hearings done, Bush would be out of office anyway.
But I, for one, as an American citizen, am tired of the man in the Oval Office thinking he is not accountable to anyone.

its more grandstanding for the pelosi/reid regime to play to the extremists. this battle has been going on for some time with a number of administrations dating back to pre eisenhower. the stakes are much higher now as nancy has to take focus of the fact that the pelosi/reid regime has accomplished nothing about iraq. why they wont just pony up to the electorate that they have no magic bullet and the war is legitimate is anyones guess.

Uneducated people will do whatever it takes (even if it means to act like spoiled 5th graders) to get what they want.
What's funny is the highly educated American liberals actually voted for those people.

They'll try to do it no matter what they have to do. I mean, look at Dan Rather who threw 40 years of a career away over forged documents.

I guess it all boils down to whether you think he did what he did knowingly, or whether he was simply grossly incompetent.
