I went to the emergency room last night and the Dr. said I had a "middle" ear infection. He gave me an antibiotic but my ear still hurts!!! Does anyone have any ideas on how to make it pop because it feels all clogged up!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Please help if you know how to make it less sore!!!!

Believe me the last thing you want is for it to "pop". That leaves your ear drum exposed to infection, and could lead to hearing loss. And if it does pop, you need to make sure that it stays perfectly dry for at least two weeks, so the hole can heal. That means taking super care when showering, and hair washing, no swimming without ear plugs, as any water in there can restart an infection.
I know its painful right now, but try putting a warm face washer on that side. Take a pain reliever. Keep the wind/cold out of it - wear something over it. Some people put cotton wool in their ear to protect it.
You will have to give it a few days for the antibiotics to really kick in.

I had that kind of ear infection for six months straight. Go to your doctor and ask him about this shot he can give you.
