In the words of Wiston Chuchill, "Show me a twenty year old that is not liberal, and I will see a person that has no heart, but show me a forty year old that is not conservative, and I will see a person without a brain." Liberal views of the world and issues are based completely on emotion. Its all about feeling good, or good intentions. The path to destuction is paved with good intentions. Consevative's views on the world and issues is based on reason. One case in point: Liberals see compassion as how many people are in need of government help, whereas conservatives see compassion as how many people no longer need government help.

Because it's easier, not necessarily more rewarding, to call someone 'stupid' than to listen and argue intelligently? I was stationed in Germany for two years ('83-'85) and saw first-hand that many Americans felt it was easier, not necessarily more effective, to speak English louder rather than attempt to understand and speak a little German. Sorry, a somewhat flippant answer, but a bit valid (I think).

Actually, I find thier "Libs hate America" diatribe to be a little more viscerally effective.

Not that ad hominem attacks are really the best arguements used be either side, but both sides do use a /lot/ of them...

i comprehend a few Republicans who're pretty knowledgeable. i comprehend extra Democrats who're pretty knowledgeable. What makes me think of that Republicans are no longer too vivid is they voted for Bush/Cheney, two times! My secretary grow to be very arrogant approximately being a conservative, born-back Christian who theory she on my own had elected Bush/Cheney to place of work. She grow to be nasty and divisive in place of work politics, too. She close her mouth while issues began to bitter and everybody observed the Bush/Cheney administration for what they have been. while she left, we've been elated! She grow to be like another Republicans i comprehend. It in basic terms turns me off. i think of its that holier than thou ideas-set that gets to me. they could't in basic terms bypass away people on my own. Many decide and condescend and act as though they are actual Christians together as they cope with those that are distinctive from them pitifully. i do no longer think of that Republicans are hicks. even if, Sue Lowden might like us to pay for scientific care with chickens. it particularly is form of unusual. Michelle Bachmann and Sarah Palin do no longer do a lot for my opinion of Republicans the two. in the event that they are seen "knowledgeable" the social gathering is in situation! i'm sorry if I even have offended you. i did no longer mean to. incredibly. Its no longer you individually. The Republican lawmakers have been obstructing legislature which will earnings the electorate. Limbaugh and the fox gnus have additionally been relentless of their diatribe. The bitterness and hatespeech is nonproductive. At this element in historic previous it particularly is mandatory that lawmakers paintings together. i've got confidence the asserting "United we Stand, Divided we Fall.". Republicans tend to ignore the 8 years of idiocy under Bush/Cheney. I digress. Its no longer you individually.

I'm certain that is not the best political argument, but then why would you supply us with that?
It's obvious you wouldn't know a good political argument if it jumped up and bit you!

AND the reason you would ask the question? Why, it's self-explanatory!
