peanuts, milk, honey - all due to potential allergies.
Also avoid foods like popcorn, grapes, and hotdogs because they can be choking hazards.
Keep foods soft and not to big

Funny that you asked this! I just got a sheet from my doctor yesterday! The main ones to worry about in the beginning/mid first year for sure are peanut butter (not only the peanut allergy but the effect of it sticking in their throat), milk, obvious reasons, peanuts, hot dogs because of the skin, anything with a high sugar content, like cookies, chocolate, etc. - nothing other then 100% juice, sorry if any of this is obvious! ;) and any meat that isn't FULLY cooked, well done... :) no tuna. :) no honey! good luck!

the only nutrition that infants below one 3 hundred and sixty 5 days do not have in any respect is honey. and particularly a lot of liquid milk ought to be prevented too. (Small quantities in cooking etc are ok.) previous that, the main concern are choking unfavourable aspects, which might comprise finished nuts, perplexing uncooked vegetables, super products of meat, etc. and needless to say issues like uncooked meat, caffeine, alcohol, etc. many of the flaws are your record (tomatoes, eggs, citrus) are super for a sprint one on good meals. (i.e. older than 6 months.) particularly a lot of salt are not wholesome for anybody, yet a sprint one on table meals could have meals with some salt (whether further in cooking, or in the production facility.) They used to propose keeping off on allergins (like egg whites and citrus) till after a three hundred and sixty 5 days, believing that delaying the allergins decreased the prospect of hypersensitivity. yet extra moderen learn has stumbled on that it is not needed, and a sprint one sufficiently previous for solids (lower back, over 6 months) could have any nutrition he's able to eating, except there's a good relatives or own historic previous of hypersensitivity.

Here is a link to an excellent table listing the most common allergenic/problem foods and when to introduce them.
http://www.kellymom.com/nutrition/solids/first-foods.html#foodchart
Honey isn't on this list because it isn't an allergen, but should be avoided until the baby is at least one year old because of the risk of infant botulism.
Here is a list with good suggestions of foods by age:

I have been in Childcare for 7 years & I've heard an abundace of things like... no eggs, yogurt, luchmeats, strawberries, peanut butter, honey, fish/shellfish, & Chocolate.... But I gave my daughter eggs, yogurt, luchmeats, fish/shrimp, pb & strawberries before she was 1 and she turned out fine:) They say no pb or strawberries untill 1 because of allergy issues (when my daughter was 10 months my ped. told me that if she hadn't had an allergy to a food by then that she probably wouldn't). Eggs, yogurt, and lunchmeats are because of live bacteria that are in them. DEFINITELY NO HONEY!!! It can cause bautchulism(sp?) I don't know why no fish/shellfish??
