We have answered this question several times. We all start as females. If the sperm contains a Y chromosome it should, at 6 weeks, trigger the release of testosterone based hormones to make the baby turn into a male. The hormones work in stages and form the physical male characteristics of the body but also the male characteristics of the brain. Things can go wrong for instance stress in the mother can interrupt the supply of hormones and of course no two ladies are the same and neither are two babies. If the testosterone is not supplied properly while the part of the brain is forming that controls sexuality it is possible the that part will remain female and the person will be homosexual or a transvestite or maybe a transsexual. There is a well studied family in South America where a lot of the boys are born as girls and only turn into boys at puberty. This is cause by a faulty gene passed down the female line that prevents the particular form of testosterone that produces the male body form being manufactured by the pregnant woman. The brain is male and when the testes produce testosterone at puberty the male body develops

Yes, whether you like it or not, 90% of the world's population is straight. You could be born breeder, whether you like it or not.

Same goes for gays. 10% of the world is homosexual, so some people are born gay. It's like having blue eyes or being left handed.

Homosexuality is a gift from God.

Oh man. I hate that question because I can never figure out the answer to that. When I was growing up
(like between the ages of 5 and 10 which is when I first started "liking") (I'm only 16 now) I knew I "liked" girls and I wasn't afraid to show it but I NEVER hung out with girls. I felt inferior and I really just didn't like them as friends probably because I was trying to impress them and I didn't care what boys though. I dated guys up until I was like 13 and lost my virginity to one even though I knew I didn't like guys in the same way I liked girls and I couldn't picture myself with one for a long period of time. So I don't know if that means I was born gay since I have liked girls ever since the beginning of liking people at all. Maybe I was and maybe I wasn't but I know that if I had the choice I'd still be gay because its how I chose to be. I guess I was "born" with gay vibes and I guess I just "chose" to stick with them. Hope I helped.
Christian.

Yes, they are born gay. And if people weren't so narrow minded, those born gay would have a better chance of liking themselves than not.

Check out 60 Minutes or the 20/20 website (I can't remember which) they did a show on it. They turned a rat gay. No joke. This was just a month ago or so-it's probably still searchable.

Ummm..yeah? God, haven't we already been through this about a hundred times before? It. Is. Not. A. Choice! Unless you're some preppy middle or high school s l u t who pretends to be bi in order to attract some guy's attention, in which case you're just an ***hole.

But yeah. We're born gay. It is NOT a choice. Get over yourself.

That's what I believe. I've researched this so I could have a plausible case against my homosexuality-bashing friends, and it's supposedly been scientifically proven that it's a chemical in the brain that causes a person to be gay/lesbian/bi. Which would mean it's not the person's choice. I'm straight myself, so I can't really speak too well on this subject, but hopefully this helped. :)
