Your question will only lure in far right wing answers like Philip's. That because most Americans believe that "left wing" and "Marxist" are the same. Even more, people like Philip wouldn't distinguish "Marxist" from "evil" or "wrong".
So you would have to rephrase your question asking about "socially conscious", "non compliant" or "anti-system" theoreticians.
(If you are really not fishing in for a "Bin Laden" answer.)
