If you want to play games, you will have to use a PC, because nobody ever makes games for the Mac. Also, if you want to use stuff like a Nintendo Wifi Adapter, you'll have to use a PC. While it's true that you can run Windows on your Mac, doesn't that give up every single advantage that buying a Mac is supposed to give you? Why not just buy a PC, if you're always going to spend your time inside Windows?

Apple does not even manufacture their own laptops. They just slap their name on it, after someone else manufactures it. This is also true for Dell, Gateway, IBM, and most other PC laptops. The only company that actually manufactures their own laptops is Asus. You may want to look into buying an Asus laptop. I recommended one for my dad, and he's been very happy with it.

The best place to buy computer peripherals is usually www.newegg.com, but you may wish to shop around and see if you can get cheaper laptops from www.zipzoomfly.com and www.buy.com .

There isn't much difference between PC and Mac systems any more, so don't really sweat it. If you want to pay a premium for a brand name, then you might as well get a Sony or Apple, but I wouldn't. There's no point in paying extra for a brand name.

MAC by a long run. The new Vista is unstable and has a lot of bugs that need to be fixed. MAC OSX is Unix based and stable at the core. This is why Microsoft is always copying Apple. Apple leads the way, Microsoft follows.

PC- If you have a good Security Program and stay off bad sites you won't get viruses- The only reason macs don't have viruses is that most people don't have macs!!

A Mac. The new Intel Macs are much better computers than the old PowerPC machines, and you can add Windows to them. OSX is a much, much better OS than Windows, and you'll still have Windows on another partition if you need it.

A PC is a lot better than a Mac. I would highly recommend a Toshiba Satellite M65-S9092. I have one, and I love it.

Most collages are not Linux friendly, so it leaves no choice but Mac. Or you could use Windows, but why the hell would you want to do that?
