If the Christian coalition took over the U.S. government and started enforcing Christial rules on everyone, would we start having the same problems here that we see in the middle east...bombings, riots, mass killings?

How long would it take for the riots to start?

Took over through elections, not through force...

We have already seen how Christians try to control politics and local schools. Luckily, we all have the opportunity to vote and change things if we don't like it. This administration is owned by the fundamentalist right wing. So far about the only thing Bush hasn't done is say he spoke to God last night and He said to watch out for a terrorist attack this summer.

I'm sure it's on his to do list.

Impeach Bush now before he invades Iran!!!

You're overlooking one tiny detail.

The Christian Coalition is Christian. The problems in the middle east are caused by Muslims.

Christians obey the Bible (by definition), Muslims obey the Koran.

God arranged for the writing of the Bible. I don't know what spiritual being arranged for the writing of the Koran, but it approves of murder, theft, adultery, deception and guile in the advancement of jihad.

I'll give you three guesses who inspired the Koran. Your first two guesses don't count.

I think it would depend on how they exert their power. If they started closing down religious instututions other than their own version on "Christantiy" they will cause riots. Actually, when they say "Christain", they do not mean all followers of Christ. Do you really think Catholics and Mormans would be considered "Christain" by these people?
