Read books for the most part! I read while others here are watching TV. I listen to books on tape while answering questions, doing dishes, driving, and working!

BOOKS.
There's just a better variety of choices and from my limited experience, I've found much more informative, particular, and educating information from books compared to TV. I suppose this has a lot to do with TV programmes requiring sponsers. Certain topics are un-favoured (racism, religions, poverty, inequity and minimum wage, etc) or practically a 'taboo'.

Having said that, I very much appreciate good documentary programmes and news broadcasting (has to attempt a neuter-stance) on TV, as well as dramas/movies. Just recently I saw the rerun of the movie Taxi (written by Luc Besson)... brilliant visual entertainment.
But again, if I could only choose one for my lifetime hobby, I'd choose books.

That would all depend on the books there were to read and the TV that was on. I love some books, but I also think some TV shows are amazing, in script, characters, and cinematography. On the opposite end, there are also terrible books and similarly terrible TV shows.

I go through phases of both-all depends how busy I am,at the moment I'm in a tv mood because I haven't got the patience for a book.

Reading is much better and much healthier too! Especially for the imagination. Readers are leaders!
(I don't even have a TV, but I have a book shelve.)
