If gays are given the right to be legally married, then they will demand the same rights as heterosexual married couples, which includes the tax breaks.
Think about it.
If they are given those rights, then two friends who are of the same sex (and are not homosexual) can agree to get married for the tax break. I am not saying that friends of the opposite sex don't do this already, it is just that everyone would do it.
I am in no way against gay marriage, FYI, I am just giving one argument I have heard from a conservative's point of view.

Your question takes a great variety of assumptions and posits them as data. Assuming which you're truly fascinated in a real reaction and not organic sophistry, right here is going: a million) The bible does enable for divorce decrease than particular situations as codified decrease than the Mosaic rules. 2) i do no longer no longer recognize the place you acquire your data and documents from, that christians have the utmost fee of divorce or condone divorces or that a rape sufferer has to stay together with her rapist 3) gay couples have civil unions which provides them the very rights you assert are denied them 4) via its very definition, marriage is a union between a guy and a girl and one in each of their objectives is procreation. on an identical time because it can not be politically spectacular to declare, the purpose of procreation is impossible in any gay dating and the human race could end to exist if marriages between heterosexual couples is considered the comparable as a gay one in each factor without difference different than the glaring. 5) finally, you have individuals of the gay and lesbian community who declare they knew from a while 3 that they have been gay, can replace from being gay at some point to being heterosexual the subsequent, and deny any organic and organic foundation (study hormonal imbalance) for a fashion they are. Plus the bible has a minimum of two very sparkling cases of ways the writer felt approximately homosexuality. i do no longer condone any style of discrimination against gay people including interior the factors of interest, housing, occupation, or violence directed at them. As an aside, do the individuals who say they are bisexual additionally the comparable as people who're heterosexual or gay and what would desire to society do in the event that they ask to marry the two adult males and females people?

I really don't understand why they are against gay marriage. I read that it's wrong for a man to be married to a man, but isn't that undermining the love that gay people feel for each other?
Gay people fall in love just like straight people and just like straight people then they would want to spend the rest of their lives with their significant other as well.
Gay people will be around and trying to hide them from your children won't work forever. Sooner or later, your children will found out that there are gay people in the world.
I read one post that said their religion states that it's wrong and that they have freedom of religion. Well guess what? There are religions that say that being gay is fine within their religion. Whose religion should we follow then if everybody has freedom of religion? That is why we shouldn't mix religion and politics in the U.S.
Edit:
To that waycar guy. Being gay was considered to normal in some ancient societies. For example, in ancient Greece then Greek men who were training young boys to become soldiers slept with them. They believed that sleeping with the young boys would help make the young boys become more loyal to them in war. Also, it was fine for men to be gay, but it wasn't acceptable that ladies were lesbians.

I'm not afraid of gay marriage - the government has no business dictating whom you can marry - - - - - or what you can drive, or whom you have to support.........
Class warfare is just a wedge issue, nothing more, nothing less.
And it's based on lies.
Acceptance of all people works both ways.

[Link 1] "I'm against it. Not because I hate gay people but because I think it's unfair on the kids and the traditional family unit is the best foundation for society - I am a believer in tradition. Sorry if this offends anyone. I have my religious beliefs too, but I can't hold those accountable for society."
[Link 2] Being gay is not natural and should therefore be rejected. Just like how straight Americans reject such unnatural things as eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.
Gay marriage will encourage straight people to become gay. Just like marriage between two tall people encourages people to be tall.
Legalizing (or at least failing to prohibit) gay marriage will encourage people to do such crazy things like marry pets. This would be possible since an animal has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.
Straight marriage has been around for so long that it has become an unchangeable marriage tradition along with the similarly unchangeable marriage traditions of treating women as property, preventing blacks from marrying whites, and keeping divorce illegal.
Gay marriage would destroy the sanctity of straight marriage. The sanctity of Britney Spears’ 55-hour marriage to Kevin Federline Jason Alexander must be protected.
Straight marriages are allowed because they produce children. This is why gay marriages, marriages with one infertile partner, marriages between old people, and marriages where the couple does not want to produce children are all invalid. It is necessary for all couples to produce their own children because all of the world’s orphanges are empty and there are no children anywhere in need of homes or families.
Gay parents will raise only gay children since straight parents raise only straight children.
Gay marriage goes against the beliefs of certain religions. Since America is a theocracy, the beliefs of those certain religions should be forced upon those who feel differently.
Children cannot succeed with out male and female role models at home. That’s why only morally superior people have children and why single-parent families are also expressly forbidden.
Gay marriage will change the foundations of our society so much that we will be unable to adapt to them. This is why we, as a society, as been unable to adapt to the automobile, the culture of consumption, the service-sector economy, or longer average life spans.

They stress that marriage is between a man and a woman because they want pregnancy to occur. Two people of the same sex are not going to make a baby and for cons, that is all that is important. It's also why they are against birth control and abortion. They want all sex to result in child birth.

Well, yes, it does provide the cons with a convenient "hot button" smokescreen to hide more significant issues.
That, and they somehow think that this either threatens the institution of marriage or will tear a hole in the space/time continuum.

for 10,000 years homosexuality has not been considered normal. We don't want to accept it as normal just because you say it is. I don't want my kids going to school and have to sit there and listen to his or her male teacher talk about his camping trip that him and his "husband" took over the weekend. I will continue to teach my kids that it's WRONG and you have no right to interfere. I keep hearing about your rights, what about mine? I have freedom of religion, and my religion says it's wrong!
You do what ever you want behind closed doors, I could care less, but keep it to yourself.
You have as much right to marry someone of the opposite sex as I do. Stop demanding things be changed, and stay the hell away from my children. Do that and we will all get along just fine.
Most kids are straight, some are gay. Others are sitting n the fence and could go either way. That's fact. There is nothing wrong with a sense of right and wrong, and a sense of shame, to steer them along the right path.
let the thumbs down clicking commence. I don't care. I'm not signing up for your stupid sensitivity class!
lsi, if what you say is true, then it's no wonder then why the ancient Greek civilization fell. they had a bunch of sissies out on the battlefield!

I am not afraid of gay marriage and am not homophobic. I simply think gay marriage is immoral and wrong. And, that legalizing it represents a decline in American culture. I think there are two sexes for a reason. Gay marriage in my opinion undermines the special union of a man and woman. Do I think it is right certainly not but i am not afraid of it.
And, I wouldn't call the the president conservative, because he misses that mark by far.

Cons and Prisidunce.
Why doesn't it surprise me that this question couldn't be asked without resorting to personal attacks? If you're REALLY concerned about homosexual marriage, people will take you a lot more seriously if you can restrain yourself from personal attacks.
