In the first book, Harry earns about Hogwarts and meets Ron and Hermione. They learn about the sorcerers stone, which can turn any metal into gold and produces the elexir of life, which makes the drinker immortal. Voldemort is after the stone and it is hidden in Hogwarts. Ron Harry and Hermione go thru all of the challenges before they get to the stone and find that their defense against the dark arts teacher, Quirrel, has been sharing his body with voldemort. He attacks Harry, but when voldemort killed harrys parents, His mother died to save him, thus creating a complex spell that protects Harry from voldemort. Harry waked up in the Hogwarts hospital wing and dumbledore (the headmaster) explains it all to him.

In the second book, there is a chamber of secrets, which was created by one of the Hogwarts founders, salazar slytherin. Slytherin beleived that anyone with no-wizard blood in them should not be wizards and created a secret chamber with a monster inside who could only be controlled by the heir of slytherin. Turns out that Voldemort had preserved himself in a diary and possessing Ginny, rons sister. He captures her and takes her to the chamber, so ron and harry go to save ginny. Harry is saved by dumbledores pheonix, who takes out the eyes of the monster (which was a basalisk, which is a snake) and gives harry the sorting hat which gives harry the sword. Harry defeated the basalisk and destroys the diary.

In the third book, Harry is supposedly being hunted down by a convicted murderer, Serius Black. Harry has a defense against the dark arts teacher, Remus Lupin. Ron harry and hermione go into a passage into the room where Lupin transforms (he's a werewolf) Harry finds out that ron's rat is actually an animagus (a human who can transform into an animal at will) and the betrayer of Harry's parents (i. e. he got them killed) They also find that Serius Black was Harry's godfather and NOT a murderer.

In the fourth book, there is a triwizard tournament that involves 3 wizards all from different schools. There are three tasks and the winner gets a ton of money. Somehow, the goblet of fire (which is the sole part of the tourney) is tricked into thinking that there is another school, and Harry is the only one in it. Harry has to go thru the three tasks (a dragon, underwater chase, and a maze) Watch this oneI gotta go!!!!!!

Yikes. Hope this helps. =)

Just go back and read 2 through 5 before starting 6. They are fast, easy reads, and so much better than the movies with more information than you can imagine.

If you're rushing to get it read before Deathly Hallows, I would recommend against it. You don't have to read Deathly Hallows on the first day, espeically if you won't understand what happened in earlier books (the most important being the entire Prophecy that wasn't told in the movie Order of the Phoenix)

you should read all the books 1-7, to make sense. even though you already read the 1st and saw the 5thmovie yesterday. start reading the first and then when you're done read the next one and so on . it helps if you read them in order.

it truly is a toughie. i like them the two lots. i haven't seen all of recent Moon; basically the trailers. i've got seen Harry Potter 6 and that i enjoyed it. i do no longer anticipate lots from New Moon... inspite of each thing the 1st one replaced into majorly screwed up. I could desire to assert Harry Potter 'reason it saved you transferring and you should sense the stress, the action, the strain... each thing and on remarkable of that, that they had truly stable performing. i'm no longer asserting that Kristen, Robert and Taylor are not stable, it truly is in basic terms that throughout Harry Potter, that they had greater suitable. i think of Kristen could have delivered out basically a splash greater enthusiasm, and Robert...nicely... Robert replaced into large; Taylor truly have been given buff. In Harry Potter, i do no longer think of that any of the characters had to get in shape... so yeah. Any techniques... i %... i %... (do i in my view could desire to %???) i % Harry Potter and that's my very final answer. (BTW: I LUV the Twilight Saga in basic terms as much as i like Harry Potter, so please, no one be offended.)

I hate harry potter books because they are so poorly written that Hemingway must be turning in his grave that the standard of writing has gone so low.
