I'm going to go with Vonage as the worst.

Vonage gave me a run around, charged my credit card and still sent the damn thing even though I canceled.

Dell is bad for being put on hold for hours and then getting hung up on though.

Honestly most customer service lines are horrible, it's a bunch of high school kids working at most of them....

Comcast is in the top 3! The last time I had to deal with them it took talking to 4 people and explaining the same thing to each of them.

It took about an hour and a half to get them to lower a $150 charge down to about $60 which would be great if it was some thing I did but it wasn't. They said I wouldn't be charged for the service call if it was an issues on their end....turns out it was their issue not mine.

Check out the link below to listen to a call made to Comcast. The guy tried to cancel his service and was basically attracted by the customer service rep.

NORTHERN ROCK !!!!
without a doubt - when we sold our house, on the day we xchanged with our buyer, our seller pulled out, because NR had messed about and taken so long to sort out paperwork - so we moved all our stuff into storage, and stayed with the inlaws for what should have been 2 weeks (turned into 4 months) waiting for the 2nd sale of another house to go through, then that one fell through on us as buyers changed their mind at the last minute!!!-!!! i was due to have a baby within 5 weeks - we were still living with inlaws and everything in storage ,and NR kept stalling things and getting paperwork wrong, THEN when we found a new build, we paid the deposit, sent the chq to NR for the survey and searches etc (as we were gold members on a 10 day turnaround) they sent the chq back twice thinking it was for the 2nd house that fell through...??? then took over 2 weeks to get the surveyor to tick some boxes (new build only requires a simple tick box and not a visit), then we exchanged on the house with the view to complete later in the week, that never happened and then we had to exchange again.because the deadline was up..finally in the last week of the 28 day sale of contract (as it was a newbuild) they got loads of paperwork wrong and issued 5 INCORRECT mortgage offers on the property then on the deadline day - our solicitor rang to say the builders werent happy and NR werent going to put the figures right - after loads of hassle the builders had to change their figures to tally with crappy NR's figures. we completed and moved in the house day i had my baby - NEVER USE THEM AGAIN they werent even sorry when we complained - id get violated for saying what i really thought of them
