Dieing. Or if you're not now, how did you get over it?

I think alot of people are afraid of it because it is unknown or maybe alot of people are afraid of dying in a painful or suffering way. Personally I was afraid but I got over it by doing the exact opposite of dying...I just live....I live for every second every day so that when that day comes ( hopefully far far away) i wont have a reason to be afraid or wish for more time to spend with family and friends and go sky diving and all that stuff. Hopefully i will have lived it to the fullest and look at death as closing the door on one life ...and opening to a whole new one that is unknown..spritiually i guess... My advice to you...Live the life you have now and dont worry about death for years and years and when it is time...think of death as a beginning of something new.

A little, I've gotten over a lot of it. Meditation does wonders. You can never know what happens after you die until you die. If you can accept this, then the fear is gone.

i am afraid of not trying to live this life, not so much meeting set goals or achievements, but of not trying to develop, i am not afraid of dieing, as i view it as passing on, a end to this portion of my life, a beginning to another, i am wary of the process, will i have to start at the beginning, the learning, again, or can i maintain some of the knowledge i have, the spiritual knowledge i have gained

No, I'm not afraid of dying. I'm sure I was at one time - but I think as my belief in God grew stronger, my fear of death went away. Plus I don't believe we do ever really die (except physically)...our souls live forever.

I look at as simply another stage of life, it doesnt scare me all that often. When it does I generally find its because i have something unresolved that i dont want to die before i fix.

So i fix it and i am ok. :)

I got over it because I once overdosed on sleeping pills. I was clinically dead for nearly a minute. That close brush with death let me know that death is nothing to fear....However, I won't try that again.

i'm not afraid. developed the kind of faith that someday my time will come and i hope and pray that i'm ready to meet my Creator. this is what life is... acceptance that all will die in his own time.

I for one am terrified. Fear of the unknown, I suppose. I sure hope there is something after this life. The thought of everything just ending......... well, it's damn scary.
