There has always been a huge debate over this one. I'm not asking about women who go into a corner, or restroom, but those who do it right in the middle of the mall, at the table in a resteraunt, park, etc. What do you think?

At least use a blanket if it's right out in the open!

Measuring the penis when it isn't erect is pointless, since the length and bulk are affected by various temporary factors, such as the ambient temperature. Even the largest male organ can shrink to virtually nothing if the man goes for a swim in cold water. However, at normal temperatures a non-erect p enis usually measures between 8.5 cm and 10.5 cm (3-4 inches) from tip to base.

The average figure is about 9.5 cm (3.75 inches). Of course, it's true that some men have big penises and some have smaller ones, just as some men have small feet and some have big feet, but the measurement is not – repeat not – an index of virility.

I was that mother! OK, I was not breastfeeding in order to make a statement but to feed my daughter. I would feed her discreetly wherever I happened to be, usually in a cafe or restaurant. I would avoid sitting right in the middle of the place but would not hide in a corner and I NEVER went into the "restroom" (I'm Scottish and call it the toilet) to do it.

I also NEVER covered my baby with a blanket! I wore clothing that was loose enough to allow me to feed her discreetly without covering her. I have no interest in flashing my nipples in public but exposing a little flesh is, and should be, no big deal. Look at how much flesh is exposed by women who are not breastfeeding without anyone calling it gross and then tell me it's nasty to feed a baby in public!

As far as I am concerned, breastfeeding is a natural thing that ought not to be regarded as distasteful.

If you don't like it, IT'S YOUR PROBLEM!

As a woman, I understand that breastfeeding is a natural instinctual thing to do. I can expect all other intelligent adults to understand this. However, I cannot expect all children to understand this. I am a mother of 4 boys and have recently had to answer some questions I was not ready for because of a woman exposing her breast to feed her infant in the mall. If our society saw the breast as purely a feeding instrument and not as a sexual object, this would not be an issue. I believe that women who breastfeed should do so in private. After all, going to the bathroom is also a natural occurance, but we have laws governing where we can expose the parts needed to do this. Think about it - A guy wips out his ***** to urinate & a woman wips out her ***** to feed. I don't think we need to see either.

Give me a break! It is just food. Most women don't really want to whip out a boob in the middle of the mall, but sometimes you don't have a choice. I always tried to put a blanket over my baby's head when she nursed, but she hated it and would knock it off. Now I think it is a bit much when people do it with a child who really should be weaned, but with a little baby give me a break. It is not like you have to look at it. As long as old men can wear speedos, women should be able to nurse their babies without harassment!

A. Breastfeeding is natural . . . not natural like sex or peeing, natural like sweating or crying or eating. If you are allowed to do any of those in public so should I be allowed to breastfeed. It's not my baby's fault that your lack of exposure, and misconceptions about it makes you uncomfortable.

B. The breast is NOT a sex organ. It has no function in the act of sexual reproduction. It is body part that was ONLY for the purpose of feeding young and yet it makes everyone uncomfortable to see this? w e i r d o s

C. Because this is a HUMAN RIGHTS issue (ya know, the right for an infant to have his/her mother's milk), the law is on the breastfeeding mothers side. So your immature opinions don't really matter anyways.

Having been in that position in the past, I answer a resounding "yes"--however, I agree with the people who say to use a blanket or something for privacy's sake. Some people are too ignorant to differentiate between 'breast as sexual object', ie private part, and 'breast as baby's bottle', which should be given to baby whenever or wherever baby is hungry.

I think that there is a time and place for everything. But doing that in a public place like a restaurant or a shopping mall isn't a good idea.

I don't get offended about it because when a baby has to eat, it's got to eat but I just want the mothers to be aware of where they are at because some places can be a little inappropriate.

One time I was eating at a Sushi restaurant and this woman next to us just whipped out her breast and started feeding her baby. She didn't put a blanket over the baby or anything, her breast was out there for the world to see. I was a little surprised but I got over it about a minute later.

Mall, or where ever. I think it's the kind of thing that a lady should do in private with her child. She should take along an extra bottle of baby formula incase her infant gets hungry out in a public place. Or go sit in the car

It think that breastfeeding is one of the most natural and healthest thing to do for your baby. its been around long then the bottle was ever invented...I did it with three of the four of my children, and don't feel that woman needs to hide behind a door or any walls to do so, she just needs respect for those around her, like using a baby blanket to hid the fact that she is breastfeeding is a great . the choice to breastfeed is a great one , it protects your baby's imnune system and makes it stronger, and help a women get her figure back faster.
