I have already taken 2 days off from work because I have the flu. And man it's a nasty one.

I kinda feel better but not really. My throat is so sore from all the coughing (not to mentioned I'm just exhausted). But I might feel guilty if I ask for a third day (and a Friday too) off as well.

But it's such a nasty flu and I would loathe to pass it on to anyone else too.

What do you think? Am I still infectious?

Sounds like you already know the right thing to do.. Staying home while ill is always appreciated by fellow employees.

if youre still coughing and with symptoms then you are infectious, believe me if you show up at work ,and have a fit of coughing youll spray germs into the air by coughing.Im sure the boss woulnt want his whole office to come down with whatever youve got so to be on the safe side id stay home.

You are contagious from the moment you experience symptoms until 2 days after you stop feeling symptoms. It is better to take the time off and prevent spreading the illness to your co-workers.

Well, it's nice that you're thinking of others, however, you may want to use the third day to rest. If you get back to your normal routine before your body is ready, you'll just prolong being ill.

If it's the flu and it's pretty bad then of course you should stay home.

Yeah take the day off. Just kick back and relax. If you overwork yourself when you are sick, you could relapse.

i think it's better to take the necessary days off initially rather than risk infecting others and tiring yourself out and possibly getting more sick.
